Nunavut – Federal Health Minister, Minister Responsible for the North and MP of Nunavut, Leona Aglukkaq, is pleased with her visit to several communities on her latest northern tour.
Over the course of a few days, Minister Aglukkaq was fortunate to travel to Cape Dorset, Hall Beach, Igloolik, Kugaaruk, Coral Harbour, Chesterfield Inlet, Arviat, Whale Cove and Rankin Inlet. The Minister wants to thank everyone who took the time to meet with her.
“I enjoyed coming home tremendously,” said Aglukkaq. “I had the opportunity to speak and listen to people on community radio, meet with people at different events and spend time with community representatives.”
Minister Aglukkaq said despite her hectic schedule in Ottawa, it’s important to go back home to listen to the concerns of my constituents. She said the priorities of people in Nunavut are always on her mind.
“Being able to do trips like the one I just finished or ones I have done in the past to Pangnirtung or communities like Cambridge Bay are important,” said Minister Aglukkaq. “As MP of Nunavut, I want to do everything I can to support Nunavummuit in their day to day lives.”
Minister Aglukkaq encourages all of her constituents to contact her office anytime if they have any questions, need help, or just want to provide feedback.
